Muriel was the McQuesten's fifth child. She died at the age of twenty-one months, and she was buried in the family plot in the Hamilton, Cemetery. It was a very difficult year for Mary (W4315). Thomas was born on June 30, 1882. Mary's mother died on August 13, 1882 of diabetes, and baby Muriel died just two weeks later, cause unknown. Muriel Fletcher was named after the minister at the MacNab Street Presbyterian Church, Rev. Donald Fletcher.
