Apr 23 1912
To: Calvin McQuesten Bracebridge, Ontario
From:

Dear Mr. McQuesten,

The Royal Family received your communication dated April 20th, and were at first duly elated, but on second thoughts rather dubious. They were not sure about that little phrase "by return mail." Did you mean to insinuate that there would probably be delay, or were you truly in a hurry to get the book? It upset the Family so much that though it was the great day of Committee meeting, they hasted and took steps to see that the book was sent that very day. However we will overlook the insinuation for this once, in consideration of the fact that you have not forgotten the Family. We regret that business compels us to enclose invoice. We will, however, allow thirty days, and hard labour.

When you hear, if you should, that this insignificant member of the Family is leaving to accept another position, please do not think, as some of them do, that it is altogether for mercenary causes. I want to get away from Stenography, and think I will succeed. Roy is before the Committee to-day. Hope your work is going very well, and that you will soon have time to write your book.
Very sincerely,
Eleanor M. Sanderson
