c/o Rev. Dr. McQueen

Box 12-538 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN from H.W. Paulin
Dec 3 1910
To: Rev. Calvin McQuesten Edmonton, Alberta
From: Woodstock, Ontario

Dear Calvin,

Just a word of congratulations. Am more than delighted to see about your appointment. 'O6 forever. The boys are coming to their own. With Pickup in the East and George Little in the middle West and Calvin in the West proper--what great possibilities I see for the Presbyterian church. All luminaries of the first degree and all at strategic points. Once again 'Hooroo.' I had a visit from Pope Dowling the other day. It sticks me Cal (this in confidence) that Fred is getting beastly bumptious. He reports that he was the deuce in Edmonton. In fact I think it a good thing that he left or Dr. McQueen would soon be placed on the pedestal of uselessness & dignified by the term of Pastor Emeritus. Fred is just now supplying Zion [Presbyterian] Church, Brantford. Hope you are well. You have my very best wishes for a good New Year & a successful ministry in Edmonton

Very sincerely

H. W. Paulin
