Box 12-560 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN from J. W. Gordon
Mar 11 1912
To: Rev. Calvin McQuesten Knox College Toronto, Ontario
From: Maple, Ontario

Dear Calvin,

I notice that Bracebridge has called you. I am sure they have no idea how wisely guided they have been but should you accept they will learn later what a good head their minister is. If you accept take time to run out here and spend a day with us.

We are very sad here today, a little flower blossomed into our home one day last week--but faded and passed away from us in a few hours. A noble looking little man he was with a splendid head but too frail to stand this world's coldness. He lived thirty hours. We laid him away Saturday afternoon and I shall look forward to seeing him again. Somehow his little presence has left a sweet fragrance behind him and made the world seem a sweet sad place. Mrs. Gordon keeps fairly well. I would like you to meet her and her to meet you. Give us a day or night if you can.

Yours sincerely

J. W. Gordon
