Box 12-579 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN, B.A. from his mother, Mary Baker McQuesten
Nov 1 1910
To: Calvin McQuesten Edmonton, Alberta
From: 'Whitehern'

My dearest Calvin,

It seems a long time since I wrote you, tho' it is only 10 days ago. We are going on just as usual. Helen Robinson visited R.[Ruby] for a few hours on Saturday and yesterday (Thanksgiving Day) Miss Tucker of Ottawa. Nellie James came on Friday and stayed till last night with Edna. They took dinner up at the Cottage, where they had a roast chicken &c. Tom went up to Guelph, so we celebrated the day by doing some house-cleaning. Mr. Ketchen has made an appointment for you for 13th. I believe he has one at Beamsville for you in Dec. He wants to get you one at Stratford. There is a bed for you at the cottage; you see there is a bed-room and a sitting-room with bed in it; so you will see how to plan it, you get mornings quiet for studying and evening, but afternoons much interrupted. Tho' later on Callers may not be so numerous. Am hurrying off to my Aux. meeting, I will be very busy just now. I pray you may be brought safely along home. With much love from all ["in which all join" is crossed out],

Your loving mother

M. B. McQuesten

[P.S.] H.[Hilda] was ashamed to think she had never acknowledged your birthday gift to her.
