CANADA POST CARD

[Note at top:] The lilacs are lovely up here & Mrs. Stonehouse the the [sic] laundry woman lets me help myself. I am to get some lily of valley to-morrow.

Dearest Mother,

Have just rec'd your letter with order¹ inclosed [sic], many thanks. I will settle all bills. It has been pretty cool but Ruby is not suffering and is feeling pretty well to-day, only of course she has to remain under cover. The medicine seems to be helping her & it is warmer to-night.

Mr. Powis and Mr. Miller over this afternoon. Mr. P. a fearful tea granny but then poor chap he says he never gets a good cup over at 'ni.' I just started to-night on the second pound of tea. If you can manage my small hat, bring it as me needs to have a small hat to tie down up here. The Ladies Journal has come. Many thanks. With loads of love to you all, five weeks to-morrow since I came up, it seems like months.
