My dear Calvin,

I am afraid you are having very severe weather for the Country. It is hard enough to bear in the city. Edna and Nellie arrived home this fore-noon, have evidently had a most delightful time. It really has been a fine thing for Edna, she had every comfort luxurious living, quiet parties, that is to say without cards or dancing. So she came home in good spirits and happy. To-day has been the wildest of the season, blowing, drifting and very cold; not very favourable to our Union Prayer meeting of the W. F. [WFMS] and W. H. M. [WHMS] Auxiliaries of the city. But we had an excellent turn out and a good meeting.

Hilda has just taken Nellie over to the train the 8:15 p.m, but it is said to be 45 minutes late, hope it will not be more, with the storm.

Mr. Ketchen, I see, is Moderator of Presbytery. Union question [Church Union] of course is on. Glad to hear from you that you were entertained by Mr. Coyne, am sure he would be pleased to see you.

I should think Duart was rather nicely situated; When it is only 4 1/2 miles from the lake, that would be a nice drive. Grace Stevens took tea with us last night. Well, I hope you are in comfortable quarters, and get happily through the week. With much love.
