W-MCP1-3a.024 TO THOMAS B. MCQUESTEN, ESQ. from his mother Mary Baker McQuesten

From: 'Whitehern'

My dear boy,

Was surprised to see change in the Modjeska's time-table, that it leaves Toronto at 7:15 p.m. It seemed almost impossible, but suppose there can be no mistake, as it was in Saturday and to-day's Times. The Turbinia leaves at 4:45. We had intended getting a Turbinia ticket. Also, so you had better buy a season's ticket it is 10 trips for $2.50. The Modjeska is 10 trips for $2.00, so there is not much difference. For fear you might be short, am enclosing ["a" crossed out,] 2 dollar, if it is not sufficient, perhaps you can borrow from someone your old friend Mrs. Drouillard for instance. Every one pleased with Mr. Ketchen. With much love.

Your mother

M.B. McQuesten

[P.S.] He has gone to his own boarding-place.
