THE MICROFILM INDEX STATES:

"[I]ntimate" letter from Hislop to Lieut. Thos. Baker, Royal Navy, from Ashtead Park. [to] Kingston, 1837--surprised he hasn't written--news of England--church rates must go. News of his old charge in Eng.--same members. Hopes Bond Head will do Canada good. Read of crop failures in Canada, regards to Mrs. Baker.
