Memorandum
Income for January showed a decrease from January 1944 due to the severe winter weather which made highways and city streets impassable for days. Although we have not had any relief whatever from the severe weather since our first storm on December 10th we have kept our approaches and Rainbow Bridge proper in good condition for two lanes of traffic at all times. The first six days in the month of February show a slight decrease as compared with February of last year but I am looking forward to overcoming this decrease before the end of the present month.1
1 Balance of pages consist of a summary of expenses for the month of January 1945, and the Bridge Revenue Fund. Final line is "Total amount in U.S. dollars on deposit and on hand January 31, 1945--$147,393.62." For more details, see the microfilm. |
