Ellison Kaumeyer has asked me to find out whether it would be acceptable for them to have a tablet erected in memory of Tom in the McNab Street Church.¹

I explained that the family had already arranged for a family tablet and that another might not be acceptable to the church.

The Bridge Commission are meeting on the 11th of March and would like to have some word from me before that date.²

Following is the text of the Brass Plate on T.B. McQuesten's desk that was donated to Royal Botanical Gardens, RBG, by W.G. Welby. Welby was T.B. McQuesten's law partner and was an active pall bearer at McQuesten's funeral in 1948. It is a very large legal desk and is at RBG today. Information supplied by Marie Minaker, Library Archives, RBG, to Tom Minnes, Curatorial Assistant, Whitehern Museum. When I (Mary Anderson) last saw the desk, it was during the arrangements for the play: Tragedy & Triumph, in 2011, and the desk was in the office of Darlene Bennett-Howes, Director, Business Development and Fundraising. It is not known when the desk was donated to RBG. The manufacturer of the desk is unknown at this time.
The Brass Plate reads:
"This desk, donated by Wilbert G. Welby, Q.C. is the original from the law office of The Honourable Thomas Baker McQuesten, Q.C. founder of the Royal Botanical Gardens and the first President of the board."
