 W-MCP7-1.206 Outline of a Royal Botanical Gardens meeting Feb 15 1945 To: From: February 15th 1945.
Royal Botanical Gardens
The Sub Committee consisting of C.V. Langs, K.C., Chairman in the chair, and Messrs. McQuesten Gilmour and Manson met at the office of the Board at 8:15 p.m.
There were also present Dr. McMillan, Mr. Stuart Reeves, Mr. Skillen, Mr. Davis of Davis-Lisson, Mr. Broman, Mr. Gates and Mr. F.E. Marshall.
Mr. Davis showed several slides taken of the Royal Botanical Gardens from which several pictures were selected and left in charge of Mr. Davis
On motion of Messrs. Gilmour and Manson it was decided that Five Dollars should be paid for all black and white slides used and Twenty Dollars for coloured slides.
Dr. McMillan agreed to meet the Committee from time to time and Mr. Davis agreed to go over the pictures submitted and report back as to which could be used for the proposed booklet.
Mr. McQuesten submitted letter from the Superior Engravers, respecting plan of Royal Botanical Gardens, and on motion of Messrs. Manson and Gilmour it was agreed that the Superior Engravers Limited be paid the sum of $172.50 for plates for engraving as per their letter of February 13th to Mr. McQuesten.
It was decided that Mr. McQuesten and Mr. Davis should arrange for the set-up of the proposed booklet of the Royal Botanical Gardens.
The meeting adjourned at 10:45 p.m.
