I shall be under the necessity of asking you to send me twenty more if you can and I will replace it as soon as I can. I owe Brewster about ten or 12 dollars yet on your note. But he owes me some if I could collect anything here I would not trouble you to send me any more. I am in such a hurry that I do not know as you can read it.
have had a letter from Herkimer County of the death of my dear mother, she died the sixth of the present month. We are as well as usual. I should be glad to see you and would come and make you a visit if I could get money. It is very hard times here it is almost impossible to collect any money. Mr. John Dauchy is dead he died the last of March of inflammation in the head. I am so hurried that I shall have to come to a close. Give my love to [torn page] & family.
