You are hereby notified, that I hold you responsible for any desposition you may make of what is commonly called the McElroy or Springer Quarry to the amount of the obligation of Misses Scrath and Keith on my favor a considerable part of which is now due. I claim, a loan, on the said Quarry, for the amount of the purchase money; by handing over what is due, you will greatly oblige,
