2 This account does not explain how the calculation was made. It may have been on the basis of a certain number of acres at $44.00 and the balance at $40.00. (140 x 43 = 6,020). A separate report of valuation (W0212, not included here) dated July 4, 1864, prepared by J. Willson, gives the value of the Tait property as $6,560.
