Dear Sir,

Your favor of 24th Inst [sic] is at hand- We find that of the two drafts referred to. No 6792 to the order of yourself 25 pounds endorsed to L.D. Stephen's- was paid in the 6th Inst. [sic] - No. 6787 to the order of McQuesten & Co. for 25 pounds has not been presented, and we will not pay it unless to some responsible party- until further advise-
