W1515 TO DR. CALVIN BROOKS MCQUESTEN from Samuel A. Duncan
Jan 8 1884
To: 32 Park Place, New York City

My Dear Doctor,

I have not had time myself to look at your car coupling matter,1 but Mr Gaylord who is in my office has examined it. If you will have the kindness to call at your convenience, he would like to talk the matter over with you.

Yours truly,
Samuel A. Duncan

1 This "car coupling matter" concerned Isaac's investments in William Dunn's patents. However, Dunn was unsuccessful when it came to selling the patents for a good profit and he eventually agreed to repay Isaac or turn over the patents and related materials as compensation (W2609 and links). For more on Dunn, see W2554a.
