W1533 TO DR. CALVIN BROOKS MCQUESTEN from his brother Isaac Baldwin McQuesten Jan 27 1885 To: 784 Lexington Av. New York [City] From: ["Whitehern," Hamilton] Dear Bubby-head
Yours received. I have had for the past five days a worse cold than I have ever had before. Agree with what you say about D--Have had several letters corroborating.1 Hope I can write you tomorrow. Do what you think best. Yours fraternally,
I.B. [Isaac Baldwin McQuesten]
1 This likely a reference to William Dunn with whom Isaac and Calvin Brooks McQuesten had had dealings about various machine patents. Isaac had invested money in Dunn's patents and his efforts to sell them but Dunn made little to no money and Isaac began to grow impatient and suspicious and eventually considered suing. See W2554a for more information. |
