Cousin Calvin,

I have thought many times I would write to you and when I learned of Uncle's death I intended writing as soon as I thought you had returned to New York, but time passes so rapidly and I have so much to take up my time that I neglect doing so many things [??] how Cousin if not asking too much, will you write and [??] Uncle's sickness and death and tell me about yourself?

It would be good to correspond with you I feel so lonely since [??] death.
