W1656 TO DR. CALVIN BROOKS MCQUESTEN from James Chisholm
Nov 5 1888
To: Dr. Calvin Brooks McQuesten, Dobbs Ferry, New York, U.S.A.
From: 31 James Street South, Hamilton, Ontario

My dear Doctor,

The enclosed papers came to hand this morning but have to be returned for a few corrections. Frederick Allis, the witness, has signed one copy as a witness but not the other; have him sign other; also have him initial all alterations in both documents; I have indicated places by crosses in the margin. Then as to the affidavit; have Allis' occupation filled in after words "NewYork" [sic] in description, where pencil crosses are. The clause as to execution by you should state where executed viz. Dobbs Ferry & I have filled in these words. Then the Notary has omitted to affix his seal without which the affidavit is useless. Please have these corrections made and let the Notary initial all the alterations in the affidavits by placing his initials opposite them in the margin.

I am sorry to have to trouble you again about this matter but it is unavoidable.

I have cornered Gallagher atlast [sic] & am to have his answer today.1

.

Yours sincerely

Jas Chisholm
