 W2707 FRANK J. ROGERS' STATEMENT CONCERNING THE ESTATE OF HARVEY & MCQUESTEN BANKRUPTCY Nov 28 1888 To: From: In the matter of the Estate of John Harvey and Issac B. McQuesten lately trading under the name of Harvey & McQuesten.1
I, Frank J.Rogers of the City of Hamilton, Accountant, of the Bank of Montreal at Hamilton, make oath and say;-
1--The Bank of Montreal has sold the mills and premises referred to in previous claims of the said bank made herein to one Brodie, and the sale was completed on the 23th [sic] August 1888. The price obtained for said mills and premises was $70000, payable $5000 in cash on completetion of the sale and the balance was secured by mortgage bearing interest from the 1st January 1889. The Bank claims in respect of the Mortage referred to in the previous claims the balance after deducting the net proceeds of sale $41645.64 made up as shown by the statement here to annexed marked "A"
2--As to the items referred to in schedule referred to in the affidavit of claim made by me herein, the bank claim to rank on the Estate in the balances of respective notes after deducting payment made theron. The claim of the bank in respect of the said notes is $3396.22 as shown by the statement hereto annexed and marked "B".
3--The Bank claim the full amount of the items marked "B" in the affidavit of claim of the 15th November 1887 less $38 the amount of the Vickerman note which has been paid.
4--The full claim of the bank is summarised as follows;-
