Mr. Fr. [Frederick] F. Wilkes presents his compliments to the Rev. Thomas Baker, and would thank him to send by the bearer the articles enumerated in the accompanying list, which the bearer on receiving the articles will receipt and leave with Mr. Baker.1

Mr. Fr. F. Wilkes begs to return two Volumes for the loan of which Mr. Baker will please accept his thanks.

Baker's eldest daughter Harriett, was engaged to Harriett's younger sister Mary Anne against the wishes of her family. As a result, Rev. Baker refused to see his daughter.
