Dear Father,

Your kind letter was recd. Was much pleased to hear from you also to hear that you had heard from Dr. [John Orange]. I have recd. two letters from him since I wrote you and am waiting patiently for one more before I start. I wrote some two weeks ago asking his permission to stop at your house a few days that is why I did not answer your letter earlier, I have been waiting for an ans. from him but have not rec'd as yet. It would afford me great pleasure to stop with you two or three days and as you say Dear Father tis not at all likely that we shall ever have another opportunity of meeting with each other unless I stop. I am nearly ready to leave, but it has been a great care to me as I've had to dispose of all my furniture and now am trying to sell the property. And if I succeed in selling, shall be ready to leave here on the 7^th of Oct.

I feel very anxious to meet my dear husband as he writes me that he has a house ready and is now paying rent $15 per month and he seems so anxious to see me says that we can go to keeping house in two or three days after I arrive. You cannot imagine how anxious I feel to get there he seems so alone among strangers, no one to care for him. Writes me that he is paying very high for board. Pray Dear Father that the Lord may spare us to meet again.

It was a great consolation to me to read your very beautiful letter. Especially when you spoke of your Dear Mother and your native land. Please accept many thanks for all your kind wishes, and may the God whom I adore accept me for his child. With kindest love to you, Dear Father not forgetting mother I am,
