My Dear Grandpa

I arrived here safely I had no trouble from Paris, to New York, the conductors were very kind and obliging we had a very pleasant voyage there was only one lady and five gentleman I was sea-sick four days and the stewardess was very friendly and paid a great deal of attention to us.

The ship did not go to her docks there-fore we went from Gravesend to London by rail. Uncle a was not there to meet me I had to wait a long time in London for the train and when it did come it had not gone far when it broke down in a tunnel so it made it rather late before I arrived at Minster it is 70- miles from London I had no trouble in finding the place for me of the guards took me there Grandma was very pleased to see me I think she is about the same Grandpa is very kind and I think I shall like it very much here it is a nice little place and situated in the town. It is a very wet gloomy day out they seem to have a good deal of such weather here:

I remain with kind love to you and Grandma
Your affectionate Granddaughter Mary M. Baldwin

Dear Grandpa if you should write to uncle please let him know was we have not written yet.
