In addition to Willie's Epistle I beg to add, that you will please to inform me, of any change or fees for profession advice you have so kindly obtained for me. Though I have not the pleasure of knowing Mr. McQ in case of farther need I know now where to look for assistance. I am expecting to hear from my only surviving brother-in England soon who may possibly come back to Canada Yours truly, J. Puckridge

Name of legal friend as the world goes. This note had no endorsement on it when handed to me for safe-keeping Dec 24th 1873, but having doubts of it's value, as regards position of maker and there being no acknowledgement by party who made it on note not having even a stamp affixed (until I placed four thirty cent bill stamps Dec 24th 1873). I then on 16th December 1878 without making any comment or remark to the maker of Note wrote on the back the following.
Received on the written note the sum of seventy dollars on Dec 16th 1878 J. Puckridge for pro. Fussell
It is evident the amt. was not due until June/76 then six years grace has not yet elapsed therefore the ability of the [?] I have to be the only question. P.S. If I did not know you write often & probably much I should hardly expect you could [?] either my own or Willies remarks. Dear Sir, I am sorry Willie has not written a more careful letter but I hope he may be induced to so in his next, which I shall urge him to do. Please excuse my hurried remarks also, we, have such a large young family that writing has to be attended to when they are asleep. Mrs. P. is somewhat better I am thankful to say, the rest all well, I will not at present trespass on your time further so
