W3396 TO REV. THOMAS BAKER from Sarah Pike
Mar 11 1880
To: Rev. Thomas Baker 3 Bold Street, Hamilton, Ontario
From: 53 Oxford Street, Essex Road, Islington, London, England.

My dear Brother,

I must tell you I received a few lines from dear Maud a little while ago. I have not answered it yet because I have had such bad eyes, she says her Uncle Oswald is doing all he can to get them their Mother's share of the Property she seems pretty comfortable.

She [now?] tells me she is engaged to a nice young man, but I do not know any particulars. I smelt the rat when she was with me, I shall invite her again when I am better able to enjoy her [society?] and get out with her a little. May the Lord Blefs [sic] you all.

P.S. I cannot make a re-investment untill [sic] April if I did I should lose the half years interest, I shall do it as soon as possible.
