My dear Sir,

I am greatly obliged to you for your kind remembrance of me and return you many thanks for the four Book of Emmanuel Kant- the year Book of the Denomization and last but not least for sending Bro. Hale to make personal inquiry concerning my welfare: with him I had a very pleasant and truly refreshing hour's conversation and hope it may be repeated to greater length. I congratulate you Mr. Hague and all those who aided in erecting and furnishing the College. The prospect before us is greatly cheery and I turn the air turns to favour our [?] is now come. May the good Lord command his blefsing [sic] to rest upon the [?] or students and churches and make the Denomination a power in the Dominion.

I have inclosed [sic] a Post-Office Order for $80.00 which you will oblige me by appropriating as follows

To Congregational College $25.00

To Congregational Mifsion [sic] $25.00

To Widow's & Orphan's fund $30.00 [which will consititute me a life member]
