W3851 TO REV. THOMAS BAKER FROM W.J. BUCHANAN.
Feb 17 1885
To: Rev. Thomas Baker 3 Bold Street, Hamilton, Ontario
From: Montreal, Quebec

Bank of Montreal,

Montreal 17th February 1885

In November 1881 I thought it proper to call your attention to an amendment that had been made in the Banking Laws of the Dominion, by which any proxy to vote at any meeting of the Share-holders is not valid unless made or renewed within the three years not preceding the time of such meeting- and it now becomes my duty to remind you that any proxy then succumbed will be inoperative at the next General Meeting of the Shareholders, unless it has since been renewed.

I enclose two forms of Power of Attorney, either of which you can make use of.

If you desire to avail yourself of the services of the President, or Vice President, please execute the one filled up in their favor, and return the same to me- the blank one can be made available in case you should wish any other person to represent you.

Your obed't. Servant

W.J. Buchanan [Signature]
General Manager
