These are to Certify the Principal Officers and Commifsioners [sic] of His Majesty's Navy that Mr. Thomas Baker late Midshipman of His Majesty's Ship Saint Lawrence on Lake Ontario Upper Canada accompanied the party of [Invalids?] under my Command from Engleton on the 31st May 1815 to Portsmouth during the Pafsage [sic], he behaved with Diligence, Sobriety and was always Obedient to Command.

Given under my hand, this 3 Day of August 1815 on board the Coastal in Transport at Portsmouth.
