Dear Mamma,

We are all quite well. Edna is so much better today that I let her go out for a little while as it is very mild and bright. Katie manages very well and gets through her work nicely. Mrs. Mullin was up on Friday and promised to look in and see how we were getting along without you. I think I have managed to keep Edna well covered at night and so far the furnace has never got a chance to cook us all. It is going to be a very funny S.S. chair Tom and a little boy by name Pete Taylor are going to join, Hilda is very much disgusted and says she will not go if every little ragamuffin does. She is in hopes that Bell MacDonald and Daisy Gillis will join. If they do she will. If not - I think "Canada" will be in it as she has given up going. In church they have got the choir facing the congregation. A new addition has been made to the choir in the form of a small boy who Miss Stuart says has a very fine alto voice. The kids also sung in Christ-Church for several years. I think his name is Bouke. We hope you are having as fine weather in Kingston as we are having here. I must not tell you anymore news as the others when they write will tell the rest. Inclosed[sic] find a letter from Edna. Goodbye and we want you home again as soon as possible.

Dear Mamma I hope you are quite well. We are all well, The hepaticas are out, the chicken house is finished. The weather is nice and it's a beautiful day. I hope you are having a nice time at Kingston. I send you this picture to show you that I do not forget you.
