Dear Mamma

I hope you are quite well. We have been having very warm weather today. Last Friday I went to Connie Fletcher's to spend the evening and meet Clement Beardmore, who is staying at Mrs. McKeand's place with his governess Trailers. On Wednesday I went to a picnic to Grimsby with Annie Young. Tomorrow I am going to a garden party green by Mrs. McKeand for Clement Beardmore. We stopped school on Friday afternoon and I was promoted as nearly all were. I expected Mrs. Vincent to of come here on Wednesday to take a snap shot of lanterns standing in front of Woodbine Cottage with me beside them, but he bought some holes which he needed to take the photograph with and they were not sent up so he could not come. We ordered a crate of strawberries to preserve but they did not come so we will have to wait till Saturday to preserve them. There are some cherries on our tree which are ripe but not many. I am going to close my letter now so please give my love to Mrs. MacKay,
