W4619 TO [REV.] CALVIN MCQUESTEN from his mother, Mary Baker McQuesten
Jul 29 1902 Tuesday
To: Calvin McQuesten Montreal Quebec
From: 'Whitehern'

My dear Cal,

We have just been having a busy day, Ida, Aura & Clara [Sawyer] all arrived this morning, the Colonel came too but went off to do some business, and Tom went down to the Royal for him at three and brought him up. We had a very pleasant day and enjoyed their visit thoroughly. Tom went up for the uncle but he would not come to dinner and declared he would not see the Colonel, WHY, the dear only knows, however he did appear in the afternoon. Tom and I saw them off at the boat. Ida & the Col. will be back in Montreal Thursday evening but I believe the others are staying over at Alexandria Bay. I thought I would tell you this, in case you were pressed for time on Thursday evening you need not trouble going up to see Ida.

I am sorry you cannot get off in time to take the boat home but am delighted to know you have pass for the boat going home. Will you come by G.T.R.? Sandwell said C.P.R. was grumbling about passes. What time do you get here? We will reserve all talk till you come home, and trust we shall see you safe & sound on Saturday morning. With much love dear boy your loving Mother.

M.B. McQuesten

Think you have done wonderfully well to have so much money.
