W4751 TO [REV.] CALVIN MCQUESTEN from his mother, Mary Baker McQuesten Jan 23 1903 Friday p.m. To: Calvin McQuesten Montreal, Quebec From: 'Whitehern' Dear Cal,
Have just received your letter & suppose had better take Mr. Skeoch's advice. What I meant was that I would lose the interest on the two shares I sell from now till such time as they choose to let us take the new shares. Will ask Mr. C. [Chisholm] to try & find out how soon we can get the new shares. But it will be all right I fancy in the long run. Should think the stock won't keep up from now till June. Mrs. Vincent has just been in to say good-bye she has been here since before New Year's, she is hurried off by news that Mrs. Loron senior is ill with pneumonia and they are very anxious, they all seem to think so much of her. Thought the Editorial in Wednesday's paper very good and I think it cheeky of the new editor to change your work. I do not know that he has the right to alter your articles. They are inclined to improve if they can.
In haste.
M.B. McQuesten
