Was so sorry to hear that Jamison had gone off and left you to bear the brunt alone. It seemed so strange he should not have stayed at least till your return. I telephoned about Dr. Fletcher, but he is not going to Muskoka at all. I am so afraid you will have far too much work. It has been a fearfully warm close day and as the dressmaker came this morning we have all had to work hard all day. We hear that poor Freddie Broadfoot died very unexpectedly. It is so sad for poor little Miss Brown, who has no one but a step-mother and half brother and was so happy planning for her own home. It was great news about Jo Jo wasn't it? Miss Taylor is very chatty and a good little thing but I think she will have a good deal on her shoulders to keep him stirred up. I am so thankful to know that you have good food, it is a most important thing especially when you have been starved all winter. Staney Brae is in Lake Joseph, I suppose. Ruby is sending a book, and do not like to trust it to Staney Brae alone. Jacqueline Gartshore came to-day. Helen brought her along unexpectedly and left her here to stay over-night whilst she went out to Dundas. I am writing almost in the dark, but thought I would just let you know about Dr. F.
