Am just writing a few lines to enclose R.'s letter. It was too bad about the ticket, but I was always afraid that in the refund the trip to Laggan would count and that could only be expected, but the sticking on the $5.00 extra for steamer seemed very close. However, Ruby's account of her health cheered me up so much that I did not mind much about the ticket. I have just returned from a joint meeting of Mission Band and Ladies' Aid, the latter has proposed holding a sale for the benefit of the church, and proposed to hold it at same time with Mission Band. I have always opposed bazaars for the benefit of the church. Young people working for Missions is another thing, they have not incomes. So I went out to uphold this idea. Nothing was settled and of course, have excited myself but still I felt if I said nothing and let things go, I had no right to oppose it afterwards. And there are new and young people in our church, who have not been trained to think very seriously about anything.

Will you please send Ruby's letter on to Tom and Tom's on to Ruby. I do not know if you have heard from Tom at all. Heard from Maggie, Mr. MacKay still enjoys his bed, but no wonder in this cold weather. She was sorry that you got away the other day without her seeing you. Did you see R.'s friend Dr. Macdonald is made postmaster of London.
