W6545 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN from his mother, Mary Baker McQuesten Oct 1 1909 To: Calvin McQuesten Glenhurst Saskatchewan From: 'Whitehern' Dearest Calvin,
I do not know if this will reach before you leave, but thought I would drop you a line to let you know that we are all just as usual, I hope you received Mr. McKerracher's invitation for the 17th to preach for him as he is on his holidays. I am thinking of going down to Lorna's as Maggie has invited me, if so will go the week you return and bring your dress suit, if not will send it to Knox Coll. Am glad to see it is warm in the West, very chilly here.
It will be so lovely to see you, can hardly wait. R. writes a cheerful letter, but she is rather afraid, it will be fine for you to see her, she has left her tent and gone back to the house. I feel disappointed, that she was not able to walk a little before the summer was over, but the doctor is so particular about keeping them quiet till fever is entirely gone, that I must be patient. Isn't that a fine reply to the Catholic Register from Dr. Carmichael and Dr. McLaren. Well, I must close, Cal dear, hope you will get safely home. With much love from all.
Your loving mother
M.B. McQuesten
