I was very glad to receive your letter this morning. Tho' you had told me I had not remembered that last Sabbath was the day for your sermon, I had not realized that next Sabbath was the one before Xmas. It was most gratifying that you did so well and fancy every earnest and careful preacher feels he did not do as well as he might, and are apt not to do their best when they want to. I am very glad to have you spend some time with Ruby and thankful too, but it is hard not to have you come home as soon as possible.

I am enclosing you Mrs. Miller's letter so you can speak with Dr. P. [Parfitt] on the subject, not that I am thinking of R.[Ruby] going for many months but it is well to learn all one can. We are all busy, E.[Edna] keeping bright and H.'s [Hilda's] nose improving. You must let Mrs. Minns know, to have your room ready.

I am very glad R.'s window was such a simple matter. When you are up, see if her lunch and dinner are really good. Do not know if you are going to take the late dinner at sanatorium, if you do, you should not pay Mrs. Minns $5.00 for bed and breakfast. And I do not know whether it is well to stay more than the day up to nearly 6 o'clock with R., but then you could just take your dinner & go home in the evening. It was too late and dark for me, but now it is not so dark with snow on ground. If you do Mrs. M. should not charge you more than $4 for bed & breakfast & you would get a much better dinner & really cost no more. With much love your mother.
