Dear Calvinus

Your letter just reached me this morning telling me about trains etc. also one from Jean MacLaren & a letter from Marion Robinson came yesterday. They are all so kind and pressing in their invitations.

In your letter to mother you forgot to mention about the convention on Tuesday, so I had planned to go down Monday and stay over night with either Jean MacL. or Marion Robinson. You see anytime to spend with you is rather limited for I have to be home by the evening of 25th.

You will certainly be awfully busy with the Convention and I don't know whether I will be leaving Ottawa for Buckingham Tuesday morning or afternoon. Leave the key of house under the door mat and order the eggs, [?] sugar, bread, milk, and I will get on famously. If you think you will have to meet me why then I will just have to stay over with the Robinsons.

Am bringing a trunk with bedding, silver, cutlery etc. and will quite enjoy poking around the house till you are at sure to come and assist? I don't mind what condition the house is in, please do not bother about anything till after Tuesday.

We have had a fearfully strenuous time Mother and Mary at meetings1 & I at housekeeping but thank goodness it is over. Mother is pretty tired today & has a headache otherwise she would write! She was wondering if the train for Montreal goes west from Buckingham or would she have to come into Ottawa to proceed to Montreal, send her a card right away to let her know and how long would it take.

She is pretty tired and having to stay over in Ottawa if she misses her connections makes it too long a trip. However I will find out if she could come back by Ottawa and then perhaps we could arrange to come home together. If there is anything special you want me to do you could phone me Monday night. I am hoping to get in 9 a.m train from Toronto.

Will tell you all the news when I see you

Yours in great haste

Hilda
