W6898 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN, B.A. from his mother, Mary Baker McQuesten
Aug 11 1915
To: Calvin McQuesten East Northfield Massachusetts
From: 'The Manse' Buckingham Quebec

My dear Calvin,

Have a letter from Tom in which he says, "When Cal gets back you might ask him how to reach his farm in Saskatchewan. Chisholm will probably leave here about the 23rd August, and it may be possible for him to check things over, if Cal is selling his wheat on shares."

Tom also says that he himself may get away next week for a short holiday, so you had better write him at once or Mr. Chisholm, if there is anything to be done.

I went yesterday to visit the Higginsons and Parkers. We are getting along nicely and there is no special news. Hoping you are enjoying yourself as much as possible

Your loving mother

M.B. McQuesten

[P.S.] Wish I could suggest some nice place for you to go. Last Sunday we were visited in church by a plague of flies, which almost drove the congregation to distraction. Albert Maclaren was moved to violence upon his bald pate, according to Mrs. McBain, who remarked he must have thought his baldness went back too far, and Mr. McB. discussed the advisability of screens. Think it was that rain was coming.
