Just a few lines to thank you for the photos which came yesterday, they are beautiful pictures. I scarcely realized how small the villages are, and yet I ought to have known. Those [?] [?] would not support Mary. I was surprised that your letter that came on Saturday made no mention of what I wrote re cheques. But as you wrote from Carleton Sur Mer you would not have received them, I suppose. I am now hopelessly confused as to where I sent my letters after the first. The next trip to those lower regions will require a totally different arrangement for money. You see none of your letters are replies to mine; rather unsatisfactory.

We are having delightful weather now, and have pleasant reports of Edna. Have sent B. W.s and New Outlook regularly.

Glad you are feeling so well, but am not sure of your description of feeling "like a fighting Cock." I would rather hear you were like a sloth; but I trust you are getting sleepier.

Mary ventured out by herself in car this morning so we hope soon to have full use, but girls have not nerve enough yet to go so far as Guelph, and Tom cannot always get away, as he is off on other things often, but we hope to get up on Friday. Tom's mania for old stone led him to get Mr. Billing's old steps and it gives Chisholm a job using some of it at back steps, but not for steps. You will see when you come. Stay as long as you can.
