W7320 TO [REV.] CALVIN MCQUESTEN from Mrs. Frances Pierson Rioch
Apr 12 1902
To: Calvin McQuesten
From: Pine Plains, Dutchess County, New York

Mr. Calvin McQuesten,
My dear friend:

When Jack and I reached Pine Plains last evening we were told that your parcel had been here waiting for us for about three weeks. This information served to increase the eagerness with which we tore open the wrappings. As it was addressed to Jack on the outside he claimed the first right to it but inside it was addressed to me so we divided the pleasure of taking off the last wrapper. The tray is just a beauty and it is the only one we have so you may be sure we are very much delighted with it. May I also say that the good wishes and congratulations that come addressed to me seem to me worthy of especial mention and thanks? Indeed I am to be congratulated and nobody is more aware of the fact than I am.

It has been a source of regret to me that I did not become better acquainted with you when in Canada because you are such a good friend of my husband, but will you not sometime visit us in our home? You may be sure of a welcome and would no doubt find a visit in the country a novel experience.

Please remember me kindly to your sister Miss Hilda whom I remember well. Indeed I might almost say that I feel acquainted with others in your family for Jack speaks of you all so often.

Sincerely yours,

Frances Pierson Rioch
