W7438 TO [REV.] CALVIN MCQUESTEN from J. W. Brierley
Sep 21 1903
To: Calvin McQuesten Montreal, Quebec
From:

Dear Mr. McQuesten,

It is with very sincere regret that I learn that the state of your health compels you to resign your position on the staff of the Herald.1 I trust that your indisposition will be but temporary, and that you will soon be in newspaper harness again, and I hope with the Herald. During the two or three years you have been here, you have shown yourself possessed of very considerable literary ability, of great diligence, and of an earnestness of spirit that quickly won the confidence and respect of all with whom you have been associated.

Wishing you a speedy restoration to complete health, and again expressing my regret at your departure from the Herald, I remain,

Yours sincerely,

J. W. Brierley
