W7441 TO [REV.] CALVIN MCQUESTEN from J. Carmichael
Sep 28 1903
To: Calvin McQuesten Hamilton, Ontario
From: 345 Ellice Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba

Dear Mr. McQuesten,

Mr. Gordon handed me your letter inquiring about work in the west, and offering yourself of it. I could give you a field where you would have long journeys every week and abundance of time in the open air. Our work requires men of high purpose and average preaching ability. A man must be an interesting preacher, and faithful pastor to succeed in the West. Get the Hamilton Presbytery to recommend you for the work & enclose a form of application, if you fill it up, and send it to me in care of Dr. Warden, Confederation Life Building Toronto, I should get it as I expect to be there next week. We want to be reasonably certain that the men we appoint will be acceptable to the field to which they are appointed.

Yours sincerely

J. Carmichael
