W7508 TO [REV.] CALVIN MCQUESTEN from Peter Henderson
Aug 26 1904 Friday
To: Calvin McQuesten Stand Off, Alberta
From: Claresholm [Alberta]

Dear Mr. McQuesten,

You are now aware, from Mr. Jaffary's information, that I am prepared to go to Banff for the week ending Sept. 11th, and the arrangements that will prevail for Sabbaths September 4 & 11.

I presume from what you said in your note that you will be on the train on the morning of Monday 5th. We shall catch the Westbound train in Calgary at 2.35 p.m. and be there in time for supper on Monday. It is possible I may have to leave on Friday and take Saturday here; but I shall see as to that when the time comes nearer. I hope we shall have good weather and an enjoyable time.

No I have not yet seen the opening chapter of Ralph Connor's book. I have not seen the Presbyterian later than the July number. I gather that considerable expectation has been formed regarding the book. I hope it may enhance Gordon's reputation still more.

The notice & photograph of Macleod Presbytery have not yet found their way to the Presbyterian columns. I am afraid some delay has occurred thro' my fault. I forwarded the notice to R. MacPhersen, the western editor, not knowing that he had given up that job and I expect he took a day or two more before sending it to headquarters. I look for it in this week's issue.

Is not this hot weather? Harvesting is pretty general here now.

Hope you are well. I have to thank you for the copy of Presbytery photo, and shall be exceedingly glad to have a copy or two more if & when you can spare them.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely

Peter Henderson
