W7639 TO [REV.] CALVIN MCQUESTEN from Isabel McNeil
Jan 30 1907
To: Calvin McQuesten Knox College, Toronto, Ontario
From: McLeod, Alberta

Dear Mr. McQuesen,

Very many thanks to you, for the oil it was indeed very kind of you to send it. It was quite a surprise it is just splendid. I was glad to hear you had a jolly Xmas, everything was very quiet here, On New Year's we had them all up from the Stone Mountains for dinner & then the Butcher family came up in the evening.

Mrs. Rose and Willie Law gone home. He had not improved any when he left here, at least not for the better.

We have not had any services at Stand Off since you left. I think Mr. Paul must be storm stayed. We have had some very severe weather here. We have not had a chinook yet, the snow is a foot deep on the level, it is dreadful hard on the cattle. Wilson has not sold his yet. I think he is likely to have quite a loss by spring, the hay is about done, and you pay eighteen dollars a ton for it in Macleod.

I was down to the Agency for a week's holiday. My brother and his wife wish to be remembered to you.

Well I think this is all for this time, you know yourself about how much news there is in this place. I hope you will keep good health and soon finish you College Course. Kind regards from Alfred & my self,

Very truly yours,

Isabel McNeil

P.S. Please excuse note paper. I cannot find my W. pad. Did your mother think you improved in health while you were with us?
