[forwarded to Glenhurst, Saskatchewan] W7652 TO [REV.] CALVIN MCQUESTEN from W.A. Day Jun 5 1907 To: Calvin McQuesten Knox College, Toronto, Ontario From: Macleod, AlbertaDear McQuesten,
I have intended writing you for the last three months or more, but kept putting off. The matter that is bothering me is the how [sic] you came out with D.L. in the Home Mission contribution. Tait told me of your not having received anything from D.L. at the time you wrote him, which I think, was early in the Spring, and as Dave's finances haven't been much firmer since then I have been wondering whether you have received anything recently.
You see, I am interested in this way: He left the matter off until the day before you intended leaving (Sunday) and I promised to collect from McCrae's on my way to school Monday morning. I got 5 there and sent it over that day together with 5 of my own expecting that Dave would add 5, or at least hand you over the ten. He seems to have turned the job over to Horner and to have kept what I sent him.
I hope he has squared it with you since. If not write me at once and I shall tackle him. McCrae's, of course, hold me responsible in a way.
I shall address this to Knox, hoping to have it forwarded from there. With best wishes.
Yours,
W.A. Day
