Feb 19 1908
To: Calvin McQuesten Toronto, Ontario
From: Milden, Saskatchewan

Mr. McQuesten,
Dear friend.

You mentioned in your letter to Annie that I owed you a letter. well,1 I don't like debt. but really I think this more than once I have sent you a note and got no returns. but pardon me. you sent me a lovely little Exmas [sic] present. I have found it very interesting. and also very useful the time we had a Burns night in the M.L. and D.S. well, Mr. McQuesten, I am sure you will be very much surprised to hear we have organized a Christian Endeavor. what is going to become of Milden. but never mind I hope and trust it will be a great success. Mr. Harry Weir has come home a very enthusiastic christian and says he will do his best. we put him in Pres--a Mr. Paisley V. Pres. Mrs Bryden 1st V.P. Annie 2nd V.P. first meeting next Sunday eve also church service. we expect to have church service by the Methodists all along.

Our Literary and debating society has proved quite a success. but let me tell you. our debate last week was resolved that liturature was more instructive than travel. leader for the affirmative. Mr Ricky vs Mrs Bryden leader for the negative. Mr. Harry Weldon vs myself. we were defeated. time being called before I was even through. I must close so good bye from,

Yours truly

Hannah Clark

[P.S.] write a good long letter when you write to Isaac. I did so much want to go out of sight somware the other day when I hurd Mrs Bryden remark "I do love to see a real good head of hair." I suppose I have told you Bob spends his Sunday and a good many other evenings there.

H. Clark
