W7749 TO [REV.] CALVIN MCQUESTEN from Thomas Kirkpatrick Apr 29 1908 To: Calvin McQuesten Glenhurst, Saskatchewan From: Milden, SaskatchewanDear Mr. McQuesten,
I heard that you had applied to the Chairman of Lanark School Board for the use of the school to hold services and that he did not give a favourable reply or extend to you a hearty welcome to hold the services there. The other two Trustees however informed me that he spoke only for himself and that if you made written application to the Board they would be disposed to grant your request. I should be glad to have you come here at the same time. I do not like to see a missionary laboring in a community where the congregation give little or nothing for his support, and I feel that we cannot look for much from these people. I cannot speak for their willingness but I know that their ability is small. Trusting that I shall see you soon, I am, Yours Sincerely,
Thomas Kirkpatrick
P.S. Am not sure of the secretary's initials but I think E. A. Goodwin, Milden will find him. T.K.
