Dear McQuesten,

I presume you are wondering whether I am alive or not, but thank God, I am again well and in my usual state of health, but for a weak spot in the region of the appendix which necessitates me abstaining from riding or driving for a few mths. I am very sorry I shant be able to ride out to Zealandia this summer, but I shant be able to go to college this winter so may take Zealandia etc. for the winter. At present I have an appointment in Saskatoon at the new Riverdale Pres. Church. I certainly shall have lots to do organizing a congregation & the various offices connected with same. I have two addresses on Sunday to prepare, beside an address to men at the construction camp, about 200 men & a prayer meeting on Wed. night. It will keep me going, but I trust with God's help I shall be able to do it.

Thanks very much for kind offer. I am sorry I can't accept it, but will try my best to get someone in there for a few mths.

By the way if you come to Saskatoon you might get here for a Sunday, I shall be pleased to entertain you. How do you like homesteading? So glad you have been round the fields, etc. with such good success. Will write again soon. Wishing you every success, I remain,

Yours very truly,

Jack Lewis.
