My dear Mac,

Hearty congratulations on your success in first year Theology. Didn't see the report till yesterday.

Have moved from Milden to Day Ranche now Macleod. R.W. Spence of Knox has Fishburn field and I have 3 appts here. St. Off. [Stand Off] Wat. [Waterton] School & Rathwell & I preach every Sunday. Attendance has been good, notwithstanding rain. Rivers are brimming. Approach to Kootenai Bridge washed out. No traffic between here & Stand Off. Macleod in a bad state. Ethel has lung trouble & is very ill. Alf. & wife still at Stand Off but talking of going into [?] for summer at least. Barber's house near hospital & C.P.R. pump house, & several back yards went down Old Man River. Old Man Bridge badly wrecked, approaches washed away. All R.R. traffic practically closed for several days here between us & Lethbridge not open yet. No mails for nearly a week. Then all came in a rush. Transcontinental crew trains (Spokane Flyer) comes in via Calgary. Excursion to Banff today $4.00 return from Macl. 2 days. Wish I could go. Strapped.

Have no idea where you are. Am going to send c/o College & ask to have forwarded. Will expect a line from you when you get this.

Am going to Macl. for Dennis today. We made a cinder court at Anderson's one mile out of town. Splendid. Strauthers is the pusher. We have good times. I also selling to a club in Macl. Two sod courts. Not so good as cinder. Dennis booming, court at barracks, one at Matthews, & 2 cinder in river bottom (these fortunately escaped floods).

Rev. Mr. Walker OK still doing business with the men. Very very often more men at a church service than women.

Girls all well, I've got the real thing now Mac. Best in Macl.

But this is just a note of congratulation, I didn't want to write so much for I haven't time today. Hope your summer's work may be in a congenial society & that you may be happy in it. Without any "Mistress Murphy's" thoughts after her conflab with the Holy Father I say, "God Bless You."

Very sincerely yours,

W. McD. Tait
